CROSSFIT BY DEFINITION​

CrossFit is the most effective way to get fit. You may have heard the joke, “How can you tell if someone does CrossFit? Don’t worry, they’ll tell you”. The truth behind that joke is the best reason to try CrossFit. When we discover something that not only lives up to the hype but delivers far beyond what we imagined, we tell people about it. When we achieve something we never thought possible, we tell people about it. So here’s hoping, we keep telling you about it.

We do a lot of functional movements. Meaning, we basically practice all sorts of real life scenarios every day. We run, we jump, we lift things up, we put things over our head, we squat and we make friends. We add in some Olympic lifting from time to time to increase our speed and explosiveness and throw some gymnastics in there because you just never know when you’ll be hanging from the side of a cliff. The beauty is, you do what you can and you progress on your own, we don’t expect or want you to come in on day 1 and throw weight all over the place.

TONEFIT

LOSE WEIGHT, GET IN SHAPE, MAKE FITNESS PART OF YOUR ROUTINE​

ToneFit is our program for people of all fitness levels that’s challenging yet easy to learn, effective and fun. It is similar to CrossFit in certain aspects and very different in others. Each day you when you arrive to the gym, you decide which program you would like to do. You will still run, jump and lift but the rep scheme might be a little different, or you might use a ball not a barbell. The focus is basic lifting strength (squat, press, deadlift) and a lot of cardio work. Our TONE classes run at the same time as our CrossFit classes enabling you to bond with everyone and at any given time, the classes are split down the middle 1/2 CrossFit and 1/2 ToneFit.

TONEFIT VS CROSSFIT

You choose, every time. We offer you the option to take out the technical learning of CrossFit by doing basic and effective movements that we know will make you stronger, fitter and faster. CrossFit takes time to learn and that’s one of the things we love about it, but it’s also one of the things we hate. Some days we need to be able to come in and get an amazing workout without having to think too much.

ToneFit is result driven with raw function in mind. You will burn approximately 400-600 calories per class and you will leave feeling energized and ready to attack your day. We want you to life better, yes we want your life to be better. The results for tone include losing weight, better sleep at night, and a lot of crossover skills. Your 5k time will be faster, tossing your kids around will be easier, and the groceries will definitely feel lighter if you come to ToneFit.

HOW TO START

There are a few different paths, you can try a free class or you can schedule a 1:1 PT session. We’ve learned over the years that not everyone is comfortable jumping straight into free class so we introduced personal training to the mix. We want you to learn whatever way is best for you. Sign up for your free trial class, or you can sign up via the personal training section to start that way. If you want our advice, it’s much easier to do a few PT sessions, then jump into class. 

If you’re not completely confident with starting with a class, you can schedule a No Sweat Intro, to get an introduction to our gym, equipment, and coaches without even breaking a sweat.

PERSONAL TRAINING

1:1 PERSONAL TRAINING

Sometimes group classes aren’t for everyone, even when they are small like ours and we totally get it. 1:1 sessions are geared for those people who are brand new to the gym and want to accelerate their learning curve. These athletes want the benefit of having someone there, specifically for them, to show them all of the movements. Our ultimate goal is to get you into class, because that’s the best part of CrossFit. We will rotate our coaches through your sessions so you will get to know each of us and easily integrate into group classes down the road when you feel ready.

WHO IS 1:1 COACHING AT FLAGLER VILLAGE CROSSFIT AND FITNESS FOR?

YOU’VE GOT THE FITNESS, PERHAPS EVEN CROSSFIT EXPERIENCE, AND THIS IS WHAT YOU WALK AWAY WITH.

You can use your purchased personal training sessions at your own pace. If you’re just starting out we recommend 2-3 times per week until you feel comfortable enough to get into class, which usually is about 10-12 sessions. It all is largely dependent on the person, as everyone’s fitness levels are different. Some people might skip this all together and jump into class and that’s fine, too. We have options for everyone. One thing for sure is that you will learn and advance at a more accelerated pace through personal sessions, so if you’re reading this, keep that in mind.
